GO // Get Out the Vote

This was my submission for the 2012 AIGA Get Out the Vote poster open call. Statement Voting is a personal decision. Every individual must come to understand and appreciate the power inherent in our voice, our perspective and opinions. Casting a vote is not only about choosing one candidate over another, it is the way to speak up and become part of the social process. This poster serves as a direct call to action; focused and informative: remember the date and act. The interaction within the typography serves as a reminder of the duality and profound importance of participating in this democratic process, as each vote interacts with others to achieve a desired collective outcome. AIGA Get Out the Vote: poster submission

Project brief
AIGA will again mount a campaign to demonstrate the power of design in the public arena by
encouraging designers to contribute to a coordinated get-out-the-vote campaign for national
elections in Fall 2012. This builds on the 2004 and 2008 campaigns that placed more than
100,000 AIGA posters in public places in communities across the nation as well as provides
a resource for any web user to download a pdf version to print and post or share virally. The
objective is to demonstrate the value of design to citizens, public officials and businesses by
providing a clear call to action for an activity that is important to everyone.
